Large and smallmouth bass are plentiful in the waters of Vermont.

Prime fishing season begins the second Saturday in June. The best time to go bass fishing is when the season opens. For several weeks thereafter, bass are frequently found in the shallows. In August the best time to catch large and smallmouth bass is early morning, early evening and late evening. Moore Reservoir, Lake Memphremagog
